Musical Building Blocks

Musical Building Blocks is an innovative and exciting four-week music program, designed by two musicians; one with extensive vocal training and the other a credentialed teacher for 18 years.

Each 30-minute class begins with a “hello song “ where your child is greeted by name, followed by the introduction & exploration of a key musical concept.  Simple instruments and props such as sticks, shakers, bells and miscellaneous items will be used to develop a keen awareness of the distinguishing qualities of sound, while encouraging spontaneity and creativity.  With the home materials, learning continues at home with your child’s best teacher, you.

Week Two – Sound

Week Three – Language

Week Four – Movement

Home materials include a songbook, notes and chords to the songs, activity ideas to help you enjoy each song at home, a Music Morning tote bag and other fun goodies.  

Classes will be held on Wednesday mornings at Sweet Potato Pie located at 528 Main Street in Historic Downtown Woodland.
